chelmsford Independent office will be closed on Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day. Due to the Monday holiday, all submissions for the May 31 edition must be received by Friday, May 25, at 5 p.m.

chelmsford – Rose E. (MacDonald) Grunewald, a longtime resident of
chelmsford, and formerly of Hollis, NH, died peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2012, at
chelmsford Crossing surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen W. Grunewald who died in 2005.

chelmsford High School has received 15 TAMY nominations, awards sponsored by The Theater at the Mount to recognize outstanding accomplishments in high school musicals. With 15 nominations,
chelmsford High School tied Wachusett High this year for the most nominations in a variety of categories. Twenty-two high schools from around Massachusetts competed this year.
