Waltham High teacher dies while on administrative leave

Noureddine Zoukhri, who taught French at the high school for the past four years, died on Tuesday, May 1, while on administrative leave. City and school officials said they did not know the cause of death and they did not reveal why he was on administrative leave. Zoukhri was 58 years old.

demeo, 79, died last week.
demeo came onto the Canton Fire Department in 1955. Within 10 years he was promoted to captain, the youngest at 32 of the five men who were raised to that rank in February 1965. “Guys like Dave don’t come along very often,” said Capt. Lorenzo Bagley, who heads the department’s Fire Prevention Bureau. “He was loved by everyone.”
