The publisher of "Fallout" and "Elder Scroll" will be unleashing their latest, a brand new property, later this year. "dishonored" by Arkane Studios has been described as a "supernatural assassin action game," and is due for arrival on October 9, 2012.

On May 10th Bethesda Softworks announced that ‘dishonored’ will have a release date of Oct. 9th in North America, according to the official press release. The supernatural assassin game is being developed by Arkane Studios, and will launch in Australia on Oct. 11th and throughout Europe on Oct. 12th.

Though Bethesda had previously marked dishonored with a release date in September, they announced today that they have reconsidered, and have re-fit dishonored with a release two weeks later on October 9.

dishonored launches in the UK on 12th October, in Australia on 11th October, and in the US on 9th October, Bethesda has announced. The next big thing from Bethesda, other than the Elder Scrolls MMO, is dishonored, a pseudo-Victorian steampunk assassin title played out in first-person. We got a first look at the game with a teaser trailer a few weeks ago, and now the game has a release date: October 9th.

dishonored is throwing its hat in the pre-holiday release date fray with a fall release date. Today publisher Bethesda Softworks announced that the game will come out for PC (cover below), PS3, and Xbox 360 on October 9. Bethesda's steampunk-ish assassin action game, dishonored , will make its way to North American and European retailers on October 9 and 12, respectively. We'll find out more about dishonored - this fall's other assassin game and best summed up as BioShock + Assassin's Creed + Dickens - and get some hands-on time with it at E3 in a few weeks.
