Mendon pen pals meet face-to-face

It was an afternoon of guessing, hugging, gifting and pizza feasting yesterday at the Henry P. Clough Elementary School, where 26 fourth-graders came face-to-face for the first time with their senior citizen pen pals. Diana Carter, a local senior, wrote often of her dog
punkin’, and in fact, signed her name as “
punkin’s Mom” when writing to her fourth-grade pen pal over the past year.
