Taipei (The China Post/ANN) - The Cabinet yesterday approved the draft Optometrist Act, stipulating that only licensed optometrists or certified graduates from the optometry department of colleges will be allowed to conduct optometric operations, with violators to face heavy fines, according to the Department of Health.

The stock market is the epitome of
shortsightedness. Investors focus mainly on the economyâs performance for a year or two ahead. Just as in the past, prices will fluctuate upwards and downwards on the basis of this myopic view. In short, todayâs stock prices are not necessarily an indicator of the countryâs long-run development.
